Robert Vann Bailey (82) of Lancaster, SC passed away on Friday, July 22, 2022.
Born on September 12, 1939 in Newell, NC to William and Mary Lee Mangum Bailey, Robert proudly served his country in the US Army and continued dedicated service with Army Reserves for over 28 years.
Robert loved playing golf, ping pong and softball. He worked with Western Electric and successor companies for more than 37 years. He attended Central Church of God.
Left to mourn his loss is Robert’s loving wife Ruth Dickson Bailey, brother Jimmy (Jodi); sister Gloria (Jack) Green, half-sister Willie Ewing; half-brother William Bailey and a host of nieces and nephews.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, sister Mary Coley and brother Richard Bailey.
The family will greet friends starting at 10:30 am on Thursday, July 28 2022 at Central Church of God located at 5301 Sardis Road in Charlotte. Funeral service with US Army military honors is scheduled for 11am with burial immediately following at Sharon Memorial Park.
