Born January 16, 1944 in Mecklenburg County, NC, he was a son of the late Robert and Margaret Moore Adams and attended West Mecklenburg High School.
He was in the tire business for many years. Bobby enjoyed fishing, golfing, watching football; and was an avid fan of Gunsmoke. In his earlier years he was a Mason and a Shriner. He also served as Vice President of the Westchester Optimist Club and coached the Club’s Cubs softball team.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Libby Adams; son, Robby Adams; sister, Kathy McCullen (Ted); special aunt and uncle, Jeri and Gene Helms; and several nieces and nephews; as well as his goddaughter, Lily Naoudom Burke (Peter); and extended family including Phou and Sam Naoudom and their son, Kelong Naoudom (Anna), Bebe Gaddy (Jay), and Teri and Curtis Ward.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Adams.
A service to celebrate Bobby’s life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, September 14th, in the chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral & Cremation Service, 4601 Freedom Drive. His family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
