Rita Lucille Robinson

Rita L. Robinson (Kelley) 91 formerly of Elyria, passed away on Sunday June 16, 2019 at her home in Peoria, AZ. Rita was born in Mansfield, Ohio on April 8, 1928 to parents Frank and Marcella (King) Kelley.

Rita married Edward A. Robinson on May 13, 1950 in Elyria, Ohio where they resided until 1977 when they moved to Charlotte, NC. Rita enjoyed cross- stitching, bowling and camping and travel. Her family was the center of her life and she was always involved in her community.

She is survived by (4) sons, Jeff (Teresa) of Michigan, Jim (Pam) of Arizona, Tom (Lisa) of Virginia and Andy (Beverly) of North Carolina. 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, (3) nieces, Missy Derrenberger of Mansfield, OH, Dorothy Rogers of Murfreesboro, TN and Elise Stone of Columbus, OH, numerous other nieces and nephews and her husband’s siblings, Anne Robinson of Ohio and John Robinson of Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Robinson; parents Frank and Marcella Kelley, sister Jeanne, daughter Mary and grandson Jimmy.

Services were held in Sun City, Arizona.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Neumann Catholic Church located at 8451 Idlewild Road in Charlotte NC on Thursday, June 27 at 1pm. Rita will be interred next to her husband Edward at Sharon Memorial Park Mausoleum located at 5716 Monroe Road in Charlotte, NC.

Memorial donations may be made in Rita’s memory to a charity of the donor’s choice.
