I'm so sorry to hear of Rick's passing. I knew Rick for many years through business and I always enjoyed our conversations.  I had lost touch over the last year with the selling of our business and I'm so sad to hear he is gone.

Mr. Holt I was so sorry to hear of Rick's passing. He was a wonderful, kind and jovial person. He cared tremendously for his customers & those around him. I work at BCBSNC and had lots of talks with him over the years & just want you to know what a special man you raised. You did an awesome job as a father & it was reflected in your sons wonderful nature. He will be an angel watching over us until we see him again. Many blessings to you & your family.

Mr. Holt, I just heard the news that Rick has gone to be with the Lord.  My deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family.  Rick was a close friend of mine when I work with Saegis Benefits formally known as GIS.  We would talk for hours on the phone and I will miss Rick very much.  He was more than an awesome person to me.  May you and your family find peace and know that one day we will join him.

Through the years, working at BCBSNC, I had numerous occasions to work with Rick. He was such a joy to talk with - and was a favorite of mine and all of us here at BCBSNC. His love of others came through on each call - and I will truly miss talking with him. Prayers go out to family, friends, and coworkers - may memories of Rick bring a smile to your heart, just like he did each day of his life!

I have worked with Rick for the past 16 years in my position at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of NC. He was a fantastic person and a wonderful agent. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. My sincere condolences to all of his family.

I was so sadden this morning to here of Rick's passing. I graduated from PDS with Rick and I will always remember how much he loved his Camero. Rick was always kind and I will never forget that.  I will continue to keep you and your family in my prayers.

Rick touched my life over ten years ago...admiring my toes.  He was one to reach out to others with a vivacious sense of humor and willing to draw them into his inner circle.  Once you were within his inner circle he never failed to care, and I mean truly care, about everyone.  Losing Rick to this world is a lose of a spark of joy.  My sympathy is with you who have been the closest to him and I share in your sadness.

You may not remember me because it has been many many years, but I was really good friends with Rick at Providence Day.  We spent many days washing cars, playing pool and all the things that teenage boys do and I have a vivid memory of the time I spent with Rick.  Rick always had such a good temperament and was such an easy going guy to hang out with.  Unfortunately we lost touch over the years but I know that all of you are incredibly close.  You'll be in my prayers and I know that God will comfort you at this difficult time.

Rick and I grew up together, Rick was three years younger, his family Mr. and Mrs. Holt ,Cindy and Lisa,,, the BEST!
I did not have the honor to see Rick as much as we both got older but sure will miss his smile and great attitude as I know  God has welcomed him with open arms! Anytime I had a date or was working on my Camaro, he was always there with so many questions and always listened to every word and said when I turn 16 I'm getting a Camaro,,, and he did, when I bought a Corvette he said the same , I'm going to have one someday , same year , just like yours,,,,,, and he did!! We loved watching Carolina Tar Heels and talking sports , cars , etc.

To all of the friends and family of Rick:

This is a sad time for us all, so sudden and such a loss for us all.  Rick was special beyond words, he was wonderful to my boys, Josh & Brandon.  They loved him very much as did I.  To say he will be missed is an understatement.  We will morn his loss now but he leaves a hole that will not be filled.  If Rick was your friend, you were lucky, he was a rare find.  I will always see his smile and hear his wicked quick wit followed by his wonderful laugh....I miss you Rick, now and forever.

Condolences to Mr. Holts family and many friends. A man that enjoyed spending time with  those he cared about.May you find peace and comfort from God to strengthen you during this difficult time.

Rick and I grew up together.  He was my best friend.  He, his mom, dad, and two sisters Cindy and Lisa are family to me.  Spending my summers with Rick at both his Grandparents in Albemarle was the highlight of my summers and will never be forgotten. You could never have met a more considerate person as he was always so kind to others.  I am proud to call him my friend and my brother.   Rick will be missed by many but always in our hearts and minds.  Your now in Gods hands Rick!
