She was born April 9, 1935 in Haleyville, AL. She was a loving and supportive wife to her husband, Dick Borders. Her greatest passion was family and there was no greater joy in her life than her grandkids. She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, was a fiercely competitive golfer, winner of the PLCC couples golfing championship, fanatical about the Crimson Tide, and loved her fellow Alley Cats bowling team members.
The family wishes to express appreciation to Dawanna and the entire team at Davita Mint Hill for their outstanding care provided, Faye with Visiting Angels, as well as Buffy and Trish for all of their assistance to the family.
She is survived by her husband, J. Richard Borders; daughter, Renee Borders; sons, Jim Borders (Sheri) and Bryan Borders (Marianne); and grandchildren, Andrew, J.R., Taylor, Bryan, Hope, Daly, and Adam.
