Renee’ was born in Lansing, Michigan on August 14, 1950. She met Bill Crenshaw while working for Southern Bell Telephone and they were married in 1980.
Renee’ was a lifelong advocate for animals and spent the last 40 years rescuing, fostering, adopting and saving the lives of thousands of abandoned dogs and cats. She was one of the first to really begin making positive changes for animals in her community.
Renee’ is survived by her husband, William Crenshaw, siblings Ranelle Mathews, Rodd Garrison and Ross Garrison, nieces Kasey Garrison and Celeste Payne, nephew Travis Johnson and stepchildren Elisa Crenshaw Sole and Jeff Crenshaw.
