Raymond Pete Clair

Mr. Clair, age 84, departed this life peacefully on Saturday, October 8, 2011. Born May 4, 1927 in Fort Lauderdale, FL , he was the son of the late Joe and Mary Cobler Clair. In 1959, he moved to Atlantic City, NJ and lived there until coming to Charlotte in 2008.

The service to celebrate the life of Raymond Pete Clair will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Wilson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Salisbury National Cemetery.

Survivors include his seven sons, Apostle Mishel Clair (Mary), Issac Clair (Diane), Jonathan McCaskill, all of Ft. Lauderdale, Marvin Clair of Richmond, VA, Raymond Clair and Darrell Clair, both of Ft. Lauderdale, and Raymond Nickens of Atlanta, GA; four daughters, Shirley Clair McCall (James) of Chevy Chase, MD, Yvette Clair Underwood and Ava Nickens Roseboro (Bobby), both of Charlotte and Tonya Johnson (Kim) of Atlantic City, NJ; sister, Elder Dareen Wright (Omega) of Ft. Lauderdale; two brothers, Jerome Clair of Ft. Lauderdale, and Joe Clair of Washington, DC; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
