Mr. Ralph Willis Cox, of Charlotte, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Thursday August 22 ,2019. Mr. Cox was born May 11, 1929 to Blair and Elsie Cox who precede him in death as does his beloved wife Frances Cox and brother Donald Cox.
Mr. Cox is a veteran of the US Army. He was the owner/operator of Cox Oil Company. He was a lifelong member of Paw Creek Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the Men’s Bible Study and served 70+ years in the choir. He received the Presbytery of Charlotte Legacy award in 2014.
He loved gardening and sharing vegetables with friends and neighbors. He was well known for his kind heart and generosity.
Mr. Cox is survived by step-daughter; Phyllis McIntosh, son-in-law; Boyd McIntosh, sister; Betty Barnette, sister-in-law; Sarah Cox, grandchildren; Denise Stock (Greg), Jody Cecil (Matt), great grandchildren; Ella Cecil, Wade Cecil, Barrett Stock, Walker Stock, Reid Cecil and Hayden Cecil, and very special friend; Doris Springs.
Willis was a special man and will be missed by many.
Funeral service will be Monday, August 26, 2019 1:00 p.m at Paw Creek Presbyterian Church, with burial following the service in the church cemetery. Visitation will follow the services in the church fellowship hall.
