Ponza Mae Barbee Brannon

Charlotte - Mrs. Brannon, 78, passed away on July 21, 2013 at Golden Living at 5th St. She was born on December 29, 1934 in Cabarrus County, a daughter of the late Ira Phillip Barbee and Myrtle Truman Auten Barbee, and beloved wife of her late husband, Milledge Benton Brannon, II.

She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother, and will always be remembered as a wonderful cook.

Mrs. Brannon is survived by her sons, Robert James (Janet) of Locust, NC, Terry Barbee (Patricia), of Concord, NC, and Milledge Brannon, III (Melanie) and Patrick Brannon (Rita), both of Charlotte; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and brother, Tracy Barbee, of Concord.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 in the Chapel of Harry & Bryant, 500 Providence Road, Charlotte. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1-1:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
