Pherlisha Grace Williams

Pherlisha Grace, 95, of 2313 Heather Glen, Charlotte, NC 28208 passed away on June 19, 2016. She was born in Greenville, SC on March 2, 1921 to John Henry & Elizabeth Nance. Mrs. Williams lived most of her life in New York, moving to Charlotte, NC five years ago. She worked as a nurse’s aide for many years. She was a dedicated Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great-Great Grandmother. A visitation will be held at Harvest Church, 7429 Tuckaseegee Rd., Charlotte, NC 28214 on Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm. Funeral services will follow the visitation with Pastor Tom Chidester officiating. Pherlisha leaves to mourn her; Sons, John Williams, Latten Williams; Daughter, Mary Edwards of Charlotte NC and Bronx, New York; Grandsons, LaJohn , Richard, Lamont, Olittmond, Latten, Jr., Xavier, Mike, and Adolphis; Granddaughters, Shashauna, Elizabeth, Cynthia, Deenna, and Robin; 17 great grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Jessie Williams and three children, James, Snookie and Elizabeth. Pherlisha Grace was cherished and loved by many. She was known as “Sweetie Pie” by those who knew and loved her. In her departure she will be sorely missed and everyone who knew her will have a piece missing in their hearts, because…this woman was special! Special thanks to all the nursing attendants that dedicated their time and loving efforts in taking care of our “Sweetie Pie.”
