She was born on Jan. 26, 1928, in McFarlan, NC, to Robert and Bertha Moore.
She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Winfrey, Charlotte; her two children, Janice DeSilva and husband Ralph, and Robert A. Winfrey, Jr., all of Charlotte; her sister, Marian Benfield, Charlotte; her grandchildren, David DeSilva, Matthew Winfrey and wife Rebecca, and Dana DeSilva; and numerous nieces and nephews all of whom she loved dearly.
Her family will greet friends on Wednesday, Mar. 13, 2013, from 6-8pm at the McEwen-Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC. Her funeral service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, March 14, 2013, at the Sharon Presbyterian Church, 5201 Sharon Road, Charlotte. Reverend Ron Nelson will officiate. Interment will be in Sharon Memorial Park.
