Margaret “Peggy” Parker passed away on September 13th, 2024 at her home. She was born in Carbondale, Pa. to the late Robert Stanley Mott and Margaret Hall Mott. She moved to Endicott, NY in 3rd grade and remained there until moving to Charlotte in her early 20’s.
Peggy loved her rock n roll…the Beatles and Led Zeppelin were among her favorites. She enjoyed attending concerts in her youth and still has the t-shirts to prove it!
Peggy worked as a secretary, administrative assistant and sales representative for several different companies until she discovered her passion and purpose as a Patient Logistics Specialist with Atrium HealthCare System. She took great pride in her work; serving as a “lead” on her shifts and as a preceptor to new hires. She elicited great respect from her peers and managers, along with all departments and providers she came in contact with as “Peggy from PCL”! Her work family was definitely very special to her and she appreciated all the kindness she received from them over the years.
Peggy was preceded in death by both parents, sisters-in-law Susan Mott and Wanda Baker. Peggy is survived by her beloved son, Danny, his wife, Kat and the lights and loves of her life, grandchildren, Robin, Tommy and Sophie of Frederick, Md. She is also survived by her sister, Robin Mott of Charlotte; brother, Bob Mott of St. Augustine, Fl.; cousin-sister, Debbi Bleakley (Tim) of Greeneville, SC.; nephews and nieces; Bobby Mott, Katie Wagner (Kurt), Billy Mott, Joey Mott, Chris Bleakley (Laurel) and Ali Trabanino (Sebastian and children, Emma and Lucas).
Peggy was a breast cancer survivor and suffered from rheumatoid arthritis; therefore, her family asks that contributions be made in her name to the Susan G. Komen Foundation or Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation.
