Peggy Liszka

Peggy Lou Liszka, 83, of Charlotte, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 24,2012. She was born on June 22, 1928 in Wheeling, West Virginia to William and Marie Setzer Smith. Peggy was a devoted, wife, mother, and grandmother and took great pride in participating in the lives of her granddaughters. She enjoyed reading, dinner with friends after Saturday night mass and was also active in her later years in the Carmel Hills community. There she enjoyed the community, devotions, and Bible Studies. Peggy is preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Albert Liszka. She is survived by her son Tom, his wife Nancy, and granddaughters Lara and Haley. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 27, 2012 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 8015 Ballantyne Commons Pkwy., Charlotte, NC 28277. The family would like to give special thanks to the wonderful and caring staff at Carmel Hills.
