Pearl was a lifelong member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church who dedicated many years of her life in service of her Christian faith. She graduated from Wingate College where she met the love of her life, Robert. They were happily married for 58 years before his passing in 2021.
Pearl had a long career in bookkeeping and, later, real estate. In youth, she spent her free time painting, playing the piano, and sewing. In her older years her favorite pastimes were reading and traveling. She enjoyed teaching the special needs Sunday school class at Hickory Grove.
Pearl was predeceased by her parents, Charlie and Cassie, and husband, Robert. She is survived by her daughter Jan and her husband Ray, her son Todd and his wife Linda. She was a proud grandmother to Logan and his wife KD, Drew, and Hannah, and a proud great-grandmother to Logan and KD’s son, Wells.
Pearl was a dear sister to her younger brother, Turner.
A visitation for Pearl will be held Monday, October 28, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Hickory Grove Baptist Church Harris Campus Chapel, 7200 E. WT Harris Boulevard, Charlotte, North Carolina 28215, followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM.
