Pearl P. Rushing

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Thomas Rushing, son, Jimmie Thomas Rushing, two brothers, Walter and Ernest Preslar of Polkton, NC and sister, Vera Tweed of Mint Hill, NC.

Pearl was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in the Oakdale Community.

Those left to cherish her memory are sons, Gene Rushing and wife Vicki of Charlotte, and Carlton “Dump” Rushing and wife Ruby of Mint Hill, NC; brothers, Ray Preslar of High Point and Grover Preslar of Polkton; two sisters, Rose McWhirter of Mint Hill and Betty Yandle of Monroe; seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Friday at The Paul Helton Chapel of Forest Lawn West with Reverend Chris Baucom officiating. Interment will follow the service in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
