Patricia "Pat" Wilson Smith, 85, of Matthews, North Carolina passed away peacefully on Monday, December 12, 2022. She was born on March 22, 1937 to W. Olin and Helen Wilson.
Pat graduated from East Mecklenburg High School in 1955. She was a longtime resident of Charlotte, NC where she worked for Exxon Corp. She made a work move to Houston, TX in the seventies and eighties where she worked for Pulte Homes and was fortunate to continue working for Pulte when she moved back to Charlotte in the '90s. Pat always greeted everyone with a beaming smile and often enjoyed bingo and slot machine adventures. She had a positive outlook on life and her friendly spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Bill Wilson; and her nephew, Lee Griffin.
She is survived by her sons, Brent Smith and Barry Smith (Wade); her sister, Joan Griffin (Charles); and her nephew, Andrew Griffin.
A graveside service will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, December 16, 2022 at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227.
