Pat graduated from Cathedral High School in New York, NY in 1964. She met Gene while they were both on summer vacation in Rocky Point, NY in 1964 on the north shore beaches. That is where their love story began & only grew from there. As a young married woman, Pat enjoyed the continued life as a military wife and the time it gave her and Gene to travel.
When it was time to settle down and begin a family they easily settled on Rocky Point, NY where it all began. Pat enjoyed needlepoint, reading, and baking with her family in the early stages of family life. Pat dedicated more than 20 years of volunteer service to the Rocky Point Ladies Auxiliary Fire Department as well as the Rocky Point School District. As her children grew and she aged into the stage of becoming a Nannie, nothing made her smile bigger and brighter than hearing the word Nannie announced from one of her four grandchildren. Pat had such pride in her grandchildren and talked about them daily.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Barbara Santangelo.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Gene Halpin; her daughters, Michele Skoufatos and Noele McKinley (Kris); her grandchildren, Nikitas Skoufatos, Dominique Skoufatos, Abigail McKinley, William McKinley; and her great-grandchild, Leland Skoufatos; and many other loving extended family members.
Services will be held privately at a later date.
