Born August 1, 1953 in Charlotte, she was the daughter of the late Rollin Corson Rose, Jr. and Patricia Hamilton Rose. After attending Myers Park High School, she went on to Centenary College in New Jersey, then graduated in 1976 from the University of South Carolina, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta. She made her debut with the Charlotte Assembly. Pat was a congregant of Christ Episcopal Church, the cornerstone of which was laid by her maternal grandfather, James Hamilton, in 1951.
Known for her generous and kind spirit, Pat had numerous friends. She loved animals, especially dogs and birds. A natural athlete, she enjoyed swimming, diving, sailing, and both water and snow skiing. She also had a pilot's license.
She is survived by her sister, Lloyd Rose, of Washington, DC and her cousins, David Hamilton, of Lake Wylie, SC and James L. Hamilton III of Reno, Nevada.
Family and friends would like to thank all those who visited and cared for Pat during her extended illness.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at Christ Episcopal Church. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
