Pam, 52, of Charlotte, NC and Charleston, SC, died suddenly as a result of a paragliding accident on May 12, 2012 in San Diego, CA. She was born on April 22, 1960 in Charlotte, and is the daughter of Zeb E. Hargett, Jr. and Betsy R. Harris Hargett of Charlotte.
She graduated from Charlotte Latin School in 1978, and from Meredith College, Cum Laude, in 1982. She worked in the wholesale Floral and Supply Industry for 20 years. Most recently, she had been with Bob Ledford-Adventure Homes of Greenville, SC since 2007, having currently served as Vice-President.
Pam’s award winning home renovations are a testament to her passion for architecture, her attention to detail and her superb business acumen. They led to her successful investments in Myers Park and in the Charleston housing markets.
She truly enjoyed life and touched the hearts of many who knew her. Pam had a true love for nature and animals, especially her cat Dasher and her dog Ellie that she always kept close to her heart!
Along with her parents, Zeb and Betsy, she is survived by her brother, Skipper Hargett and his wife, Trina; nieces, Jennifer and Amanda; nephew, Christopher; and her beloved partner, David Ledford. She was preceded in death by her sister, Debby Lu Hargett.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Harry & Bryant Company, “Chapel in the Oaks,” 500 Providence Rd., Charlotte. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
