Nuvia P. Quinn, 92, of Cornelius, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family. Born February 8, 1930 in South America, she was the daughter of Mercelina and Cenaida Pinilla. She was the wife of the late James E. Quinn.
She was a retired bookkeeper and nanny for her five grandchildren.
Nuvia enjoyed painting, crochet, gardening and spending time with her family, loving on her grandchildren.
No one could compare to the love Nuvia had for God. She devoted her love and life to serving him and others.
Survivors include her children, Ivie (Chuck) Peck, Rodney Quinn (Dana Osborne) and Sheila (Ricky) King; grandchildren, Erica King, Rodney (Mary Bond) Quinn Jr., Shaina King, Sasha Quinn (Kerri Kramer) and Ivy (Brandon) Henrickson; great-grandchildren, Haleigh, Analeise, Kallie, Kingsley and Canon; brothers, Alirio, Carlos and Edwardo Lizarazo; sister, Leticia Faimann; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Sylvia Quinn and grandson, James Quinn.
A visitation for Nuvia will be held Wednesday, September 21, 2022 1 p.m. until the time of service at 1:30 p.m. at Forest Lawn West Funeral & Cremation Service, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC.
