She worked for Catholic Social Services in Charleston, West Virginia starting in 1975, before retiring in 2009 in Charlotte, NC.
Phuong is survived by her husband of 33 years, That Nguyen, and 3 children, Manh “Champ” Wright (Christy), Marshalla Michelle Schile (Clay), Andrew Scott Wright (Samantha), 2 Adopted sons Minh Le (Selene) and Quang Le, and 15 grandchildren, Eric, Chris, Summer, Sam, Isabel, Sydney, Sylvia, Ethan, Taolin, Brayden, Harper, Cole, An, My, Quy and 1 great grandchild, Aiden.
A visitation for Nguyen will be held Monday, April 1, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral & Crem Srv, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC. Burial in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
