Nancy Selee

Nancy Selee, 74, of Charlotte, died on August 24, 2010 at the Union County Hospice House surrounded by her loving family. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all that knew her.

She was born on September 22, 1935 to Paul and Ruth B. Smith in Newark, New Jersey. She graduated from the University of Colorado in Boulder where she earned a psychology degree and later started her family with the birth of her two sons. She later moved to Boston, MA where she worked for Hale and Dorr Law firm. She eventually retired in the Charlotte area where her hobbies included cross stitching with her group the “Knit Wits” as well as gardening.

Survivors included her two sons Dick and Bob (Ann Marie) Selee; two grandsons Wesley and Bradley Selee and a special best friend Sue. Nancy especially adored her cats.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 12:00pm on Friday, August 27, 2010 at McEwen Funeral Service Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Rd., Charlotte, NC 28210.
