Nancy graduated from Independence High School in 1969, and Central Piedmont Community College in 1972. She was a dental hygienist for 35 years, an artist and gardener, Technician Class Amateur Radio Operator (HAM), avid car enthusiast, and a tender wife and sister. She loved animals, particularly dogs. Her caring spirit and sociability made her a favorite among her patients, who would often change dentists, following Nancy when she went to a new job. Her last position was with Dr. William James, Charlotte periodontist.
Nancy is survived by her husband, John Lathem, and her brother, Roger Jerry, along with extended family, and many, many friends.
A service to celebrate the life of Nancy Jerry Lathem will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 31st in the chapel of Harry and Bryant, 500 Providence Rd., Charlotte. The family will receive friends following the service.
