He was born in Atlanta, Georgia but grew up and settled in Charlotte, where he made lifelong friends and a beautiful family.
He always knew how to put a smile on someone's face. Poised with his energy and charismatic tone, Farmer (as all his friends called him), touched many people’s lives and brought more together. Finding fun was no difficult task; he loved attending Panthers games, where he was a PSL owner for 19 years, with his wife and kids, or playing some golf with his buddies and kids at the Country Club.
Michael is survived by his mother, sister, cousin, nephew, wife, and three children.
Margaret, Matthew, Joshua, and Anna invite all to celebrate their husband and father's life. There will be a visitation Friday evening, Dec. 26, from 5 to 7 pm at Harry & Bryant Company, 500 Providence Road. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday afternoon, Dec. 27, at 2 pm at St. Luke Catholic Church, 13700 Lawyers Road in Mint Hill.
The Farmer family appreciates everyone's support, and asks that you visit the following website which has been set up in Michael's memory: http://support.foodforthepoor.org/goto/mikefarmer
