Emily and Family - 

I keep trying to find words to comfort but can't.  The pictures of Melanie are beautiful!!  I loved scrolling thru them to see the lady you knew.  I know each encompasses a memory.  

Listen to the stories that friends and family share about her.  Don't be afraid to say her name and talk about her.  Find people that want to listen and share.  Find time to take care of you!!

I love you dearly and want to help.

I’m in utter shock and disbelief and so unbelievably sad to hear about the passing of Mel. My prayers and condolences go out to the Jones family. I knew Mel for two years as we were classmates and had our specialty clinic together in our respiratory program. In the very short time I had the privilege of knowing Mel it was apparent that her amazing spirit was wonderfully infectious. She was witty, funny, and very easy to love. I firmly believe  loveliness like Mel’s never dies,  it just passes into another loveliness. 

Sending prayers for peace and comfort to you all. Hold tight to the memories and know through faith you will be reunited one day.  ❤️

I remember Melanie from Quail Hollow Presbyterian Youth Group many years ago when I was a youth counselor.  She was always there.  I cannot believe that she has passed.  My heart and prayers go out to her family and extended family.  May God bless you all and keep you all and make his face shine upon you and give you peace.  God bless Melanie.

Mel Mel Mel I am at a loss without you around. She was a beautiful, dear and close friend. The key member of the "fantastic 4 study group" (now the 3 stooges) she was always in a great mood, upbeat, belting out rhymes and looking to get us all together. I was fortunate to get to know her 3 years ago prepping for RT school. Our friendship grew and we spent many days together above and beyond our Sunday "study group".  She was my go to when life was tough and we shared many good and tough times together. 

Funny memory: She always had special words for me when I would wake her with her 6:30AM wake up phone call for school so she wouldn't be late. She made me feel loved lol

Words can not describe the lost the world has suffered with her not in it. My heart is crushed, destroyed and I will forever miss her.  Prayers to the family, she will always be in my thoughts and memories. Love you Mel !!!

My  prayers and condolences go out to the Jones family.  I met Melanie in respiratory school, but really got to know her at our sunday study sessions.  We never got much studying done though....she had a playful spirit and we always ended up playing games and taking a break from the demands of school.  After graduation we spent as much time together as we could before she moved to Georgia and we had to start "really" adulting!  She had the most precious, generous heart. I will always cherish the memories we made together and will try to find peace in knowing she's looking out for me.  Love to you all.

To the family of Melanie, our hearts and prayers go out to you all. We only knew Melanie for a short time, but she was a bright young woman who was already becoming part of our work family. She will be missed!

I only knew Melanie for 2 years. We met in the Respiratory program. Our class became very close. Mel and I had every day of clinic together our first semester of clinics and we got very close. Our hearts are broken. She was one of the good ones. I was so proud of her. We continued to keep in touch after she moved to GA. I will miss her terribly. RIP Mel. I promise to never forget you. Thanks for all of the laughs. 💔😞
