Dr. Maxwell "Max" Nolen Rudie

Born August 30, 1988, in Livingston, NJ, he was the son of Bill and Joan Rudie. Max attended undergraduate college at North Carolina State where he earned a degree in biochemistry. He furthered his education at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill where he earned a doctorate in dentistry. Selecting to specialize in pediatric dentistry took him to the University of Florida where he completed his residency. After residency, Max began his career practicing as a Pediatric Dentist in the Charlotte area.

Max was a lifelong soccer fan – both playing and reffing soccer. He started playing at the age of 8 years and played multiple times a week, even as an adult. Like anything he did in life, Max gave each soccer game his all, usually scoring multiple goals, and always making the opposing team work impossibly hard. Max was an avid Manchester City fan, waking early on the weekends to watch their matches.

The light of Max’s life was his family. He adored his wife and true love, Amanda, whom he married on October 4, 2014. Amanda and Max welcomed their beautiful baby girl, Sienna “SiSi” Jean, on December 11, 2021. Max was overjoyed being a father and showered SiSi with unconditional love and care from the moment he saw her. Their family was completed by their two sweet dogs, Charlie, and Ollie.

He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Amanda Reno Rudie and daughter, Sienna Jean; his parents, Bill and Joan Rudie of Charlotte; sister, Alexis Rudie Acker (Nick), and nieces, Pearson and Vada Acker, all of Oak Park, IL.

A service to celebrate Max’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 5th in the McEwen Funeral Service – Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road.
