Maude T. Sudderth

- Maude T. Sudderth, age 93, of Charlotte, was called home to be with our Lord on Wednesday, June 10, 2015. She was a daughter of the late Charles Lee Turnmire and Mary Etta Cozort Turnmire. She was a hard worker at Eagles, Belk Store Services, and Pitney Bowes. She volunteered in many different ways and helped whoever she could whenever she could. She was devoted to her church, Providence Baptist Church, but she would tell you her greatest achievement was her family. She fought a good fight, kept the faith and finished her race well. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her one true love; her husband of nearly 53 years, Ramon Sudderth Sr.; her siblings, Jessie Wyke, Claudia Wyke, Henry S. Turnmire, Annie Lee Cox, Faunie Lenoir, Roxie Pearce, Ray Turnmire, Bernice Mabe and Tincey Blankenship; Son-In-Law, William E. Russell, and Daughter-In-Law, Wanda Sudderth. She is survived by her children, Betty Russell, Ramon Sudderth Jr., Edward Sudderth (Pat), and Buddy Nesbit (Celinda), Grandchildren; Sandy Thompson (Matt), Kristen Benfield (Bobby), Michael Sudderth (Shelley), Hope Clark (Joe), Tammy Demby (Chip), Joel Holden, Trina Metheney (Robert), Nicole Page (Brian) Scott Nesbit, Christopher Nesbit, Larry Banks, Tony “Sissy” Lucas, Rita Mose (Mark), Michael Banks (Christa); 23 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren; dozens of nieces, nephews, and numerous friends. We will all hold her memory dear in our hearts. A service to celebrate her life will be conducted at 2 P.M. on Monday, June 15, 2015 at Providence Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Al Cadenhead officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Rotunda.
