Matthew P. Howard

Matt lived in Charlotte his entire life. He attended Hopewell High School and was enrolled at CPCC to earn an Associate’s Degree in Programming.

Matt thoroughly enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Latin America, NC Mountains, family Labrador Retrievers, four wheeling, fishing, baseball, disc golf, golf, shooting and basketball.

Matt is survived by his parents, Jane and John P. Howard, brothers Michael and Christopher, grandmother Thea Howard, Dallas, TX, several aunts Janine Howard-Houston, TX, Kathy Dunning-Charlotte, NC, Marilyn Jansen-Pittsboro, NC, Cathy Jansen-Columbia, SC, several uncles John Jansen-Waxhaw, NC, Lee Dunning-Charlotte, NC, Bob Jansen-Pittsboro, NC, Rick Jansen-Columbia, SC, Christian Howard-Dallas, TX, numerous cousins Tracy Hyde, Joshua Jansen, Melanie Jackson, Stephanie Jansen, Ben Jansen, Danny Dunning and Sarah Dunning. Matt was preceded in death by his grandparents Mary and James Jansen and grandfather Jack P. Howard.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 19, 2018 at The Cathedral of Saint Patrick, 1621 Dilworth Road East, Charlotte, NC 28203 with a funeral mass to follow at 10:30 a.m.
