She was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on February 11, 1937 to the late Hubert and Edith Gerrard.
Mary Anne graduated from Harding High School in 1955. She was a long time employee and officer of the family business, Gerrard Tire Company.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Gilbert Francois, in 1974, and second husband, Grady Pittmon, in 2013; and brother, Jerry Gerrard.
She is survived by her sons; Gary, Don, David, Doug, and Jake Francois; daughter, Janice D'Augereau; brother, Tommy Gerrard: sisters, Katy Williams and Pat Myers; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Mary will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227. A graveside service will occur Thursday, July 18, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Evergreen Cemetery, 4426 Central Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28205.
