Mary Youngblood Ludlow

Born May 4, 1947 in Asheville, NC to Helen Ratchford Youngblood and the late Earl Franklin Youngblood, she grew up in Charlotte, graduated as a Marshall of East-Mecklenburg High School class of 1965, and completed her education at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She had a long career as a dental hygienist in the Chapel Hill area, then Charlotte.

She is survived by her son James, daughter-in-law Ety, and her beloved grandson Preston of Medina, OH; daughter Jennifer of Raleigh, NC; and her mother and her brother John of Charlotte, NC.

A memorial service will be held at her church, Amity Presbyterian Church, on Friday May 8, 2015 at 2:00 pm. A visitation will be held afterwards in the church fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Amity Presbyterian Church, 2831 N. Sharon Amity Road, Charlotte, NC 28205.

The family would like to express appreciation to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Novant Health Hospice.
