Mary Helms Greene (101) of Charlotte, NC passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023.
Born on July 1, 1921 to Bishop Lee Helms and Roxie Green Helms in Charlotte, Mary spent her life in Charlotte.
Mary married Jesse Baxter Greene and together they raised their son, Jesse Jr, affectionately called ‘Sonny’. She loved to spend time and make lasting memories with her beloved family that has now grown to include great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by husband Jesse and son ‘Sonny’.
Left to mourn her loss is her beloved granddaughter Jennifer (Mark) Hawthorne, grandson David (Sandy) Greene and great grandchildren Tyler and Alyssa Greene along with her best friend and neighbor Robert Milling who played a large part in Mary’s life. Robert and Mary would speak daily and often times shared meals together.
