Mrs. Hedden was born September 11, 1924 in Cherokee County, SC, the daughter of the late Roland Yancey Humphries and Myra Hicks Humphries. She retired from Mecklenburg County Home Health Care Services and was a member of Mountain Island Church of Christ.
Mrs. Hedden was preceded in death by her husband Clyde D. Hedden. She is survived by sons Jerry and his wife Raye, Lindsey, and Michael; daughter Joan Sarabi; grandchildren Joel Hedden, Summer Koch, Jonathan Sarabi, and Kristin Sarabi; and three great-grandchildren Mary, Megan and Lilith.
Services will be Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Mountain Island Church of Christ, 4205 Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road, Charlotte, NC 28216 at 2:00pm, with family receiving friends following the service. Burial will be Monday, September 16, 2013 at Forest Lawn West Cemetery, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208 at 10:00am.
