Martha McLean Morgan

Martha McLean Morgan, age 94, died Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the Brian Center at Reddman Road. Born on February 12, 1919 in Iredell County, she was a daughter of late L.G. McLean and Jessie Howard McLean. Mrs. Morgan was a graduate of Statesville High School and Carolina Business School and served in the Army Air Force during World War II.

She retired from Carolina Transfer & Storage after forty one years of service. Mrs. Morgan was a long time member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church.

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00AM, Wednesday, February 5th , at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park with Rev. Sara R. Ilderton, St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment with U.S. Air Force military honors will follow in Sharon Memorial Park. A catered reception in the funeral home will follow the burial.

Mrs. Morgan is survived by nieces, nephews and four sister-in-laws.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, John W. Morgan and a sister, Helen Franz.
