Born in Salisbury, North Carolina, Scott and his family relocated to Charlotte where Scott graduated from East Mecklenburg High School. His love of cars led him to opening Morgan Service Center in Matthews, North Carolina, in 1988, where he continued until his retirement. In his 69 years, he lived a full life and was always there for anyone who needed a helping hand.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents, John William and Georgie Stabler Morgan of Charlotte; and two brothers, John Morgan, III of Matthews and Patrick Morgan of Colorado.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Edie Emory of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; stepmother, Tyleta Morgan of Matthews, North Carolina; and a stepsister, Francie and husband, Rich Lemcke, of Salt Point, New York; aunts and uncles, Joann and Philip Burstein and Terri and Braxton Morgan; aunts, Ann Morgan Reed and Jane Morgan; as well as numerous cousins.
A gathering in celebration and memory of Scott's life will be held on February 10, 2024, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7821 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, North Carolina 28227.
