Marilyn Smith

Marilyn was a dedicated, loving wife and mom with a fondness for Soap Operas. She loved her family and friends and would put their needs ahead of her own. She was also a devout Christian.

Marilyn attended Kings Business School. She was the department manager for the Small Claims and Civil department Mecklenburg County for 35 years and later worked at the Mecklenburg County Register of Deeds for 5 years prior to retiring in 2005.

Marilyn is survived by husband of 57 years, Clonnie Smith; son Kelly (Bridgit) Smith; grandson Connor; sister Nancy Eury; nephew Russell Wilson; Nieces Libbi Ramsey and Amy Tisdale.

Visitation will take place at Midwood Baptist Church, 2029 Mecklenburg Avenue, Charlotte on Wednesday, May 8th beginning at 12pm. Funeral Service will follow at 1pm. A Private Committal Service will be held at Forest Lawn West Cemetery for the immediate family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Midwood Baptist Church.
