Marie Louise (Blackwelder) Snider, 77, of Alexis, formerly of Charlotte, passed away peacefully January 5, 2021 in her home. Born March 30, 1943 in Charlotte, she was the daughter of Hugh G. and Hazel (Hardison) Blackwelder.

A member of Kings Way Baptist Church, she retired from Mohawk Flooring Carpet Stores.

She enjoyed gardening, crafts, reading and taking care of her family.

Survivors include her children, Cobina Spurrier and John Snider; grandchildren, Joshua Spurrier, Daniel Snider and Kelly Snider; great-grandchildren, Destiny Cupp, Jamie Cupp, William Snider, Anastasia Bailey, Khalil Bailey and Shakuria Bailey.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Service 11 a.m. Saturday, January 16, 2021, at Forest Lawn West Funeral & Cremation Service, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlottte. Burial in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
