She was born on April 30, 1932 in Rutherford Co., NC to the late Eli Henderson Jenkins and Mary Curtis Jenkins.
Margaret retired after 30 years with Bellsouth/AT&T. Mrs. Wentz attended Union Grove United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling with Howard and one of her favorite places was Paris. She was able to visit every state in our country and then visit other countries such as England, Italy, Germany, Mexico, Bahamas, Austria, Switzerland, Monaco, and Vatican City. Margaret visited every Major League Baseball stadium in the U.S. and in Canada. But most of all, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Howard Wentz; daughter, Deborah Moore; son, Scott Wentz (Theresa); grandchildren, Jared Moore and Ryan Moore (Amanda); great grandchildren, Breley and Jaxon Moore; brother, Donald Jenkins (Carolyn) and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Howard Jenkins and sister, Peggy Woods.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227 with a funeral service starting at 12:00 p.m.
A committal service will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
