Margaret M. Derrick

Ms. Margaret M. Derrick, age 91, of Duluth, Georgia, formerly from Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2020. Margaret was born on January 10, 1929 in Cateechee, South Carolina to the late Frank and Ollie McCall.

Margaret received her Bachelor in Science degree and became a Nurse for many years until her retirement. She met the love of her life, Walter Eugene Derrick, Sr. and they were married in matrimony. Margaret and Walter loved each other as they enjoyed sharing in precious moments and memories together.

Margaret adored her family as she enjoyed having friends and family around. She was devoted wife, mother, aunt and friend. Her life and influence will always be cherished in those who knew her.

Margaret is preceded in death by her beloved husband Walter Eugene Derrick, Sr., loving son, Walter Eugene Derrick, Jr., her siblings, Olivia May, Julia Lannin, Mary Ferris, Mamie Blind, Ernest McCall, Frank McCall, James McCall, Pat McCall, David, McCall.

She is survived by her daughter in law, Sue Derrick, nephew, Richard Phillips and his wife, and a host of relatives and friends.

Services will be determined at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church in Charlotte, North Carolina.
