"Tyrone" or "Ty” as he was known to many loved ones and friends, was born on July 15, 1970 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Robert E. Wilson and Ruth Neal. He married Shanetta “Shane” Marie Hall, a native of Charlotte, on November 9, 2014.
Tyrone graduated from Kingston High School in Kingston, NY in 1989 and began working for the City of Kingston Sanitation Department. He later attended Lincoln Technical Institute in Peekskill, NY, graduating in 2000 as a certified heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) specialist.
In 2001, Tyrone moved to Charlotte and began working for the City of Charlotte. In 2006, he began his employment with Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) as a Bus Operator and remained there until the time of his death.
The son of a Motown Records songwriter, Tyrone was most known for his love and passion of music. In his spare time, he enjoyed working as a DJ under the stage name “Jazzy Moments” throughout the 90s and early 2000s and was most recently owner/operator of Lower Level Recording Studio in Charlotte, NC. He was a generous person and dedicated his life to helping others however he could. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
Tyrone was preceded in death by his father. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Shane; his son, Emilio Cedeno and daughter, Briana Wilson; RaNovia Jordan, and Marcus Jordan; his beloved mother, Ruth; brothers and sister, Michael (Renee), Victoria “Torey,” and Bobby (Emma); mother-in-law, Marie Hall; sister-in-laws, Deonesia Hall, LaKisha Wilkerson, Aseelah Hall, and Tonya Hall; brother-in-laws, Chris Hall Jr., Reginald Hall, and Corry M. Wilkerson; nieces, Erica Wilson, Janelle Wilson, Zhanique Soublet, Taylor Wilkerson, and Jamie Hall; nephews, Jayden Wilson, Corry S. Wilkerson, Anthony Hall, and William Hall. Tyrone will also be forever remembered by his numerous aunts, uncles, cousins (esp. “The Unit”), extended family, and dear friends.
