Louise loved her family—immediate, extended, and those adopted as such. She loved to tell and write about her childhood, encouraging others to do the same so that generations to come would know their heritage. She loved family gatherings, spending time eating and socializing together. Louise loved food-both cooking it and eating it. A good tomato sandwich and a banana split would always hit the spot.
Louise loved to play games of all kinds especially board games and card games. She was a member of several bridge clubs. In her younger years, Louise was also an avid bowler. Some of her favorite game playing was done with her grandchildren. She was a wonderful teacher yet a ruthless competitor.
Louise had a smile that could light up any room. When asked about her day, she would always say, “All my days are good.” Over the years, Louise touched the lives of so many. She loved Jesus and is now fully whole forever in His presence.
Louise is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 58 years, Joe Mullis; and her sister, Mildred Teal.
She is survived by her daughters, Cindy Nelson (Jimmy) and Carol Wilson; her grandchildren, Kim Thompson (Nathan), Chris Nelson (Krissie), Brandy Cawthon, Brandon Cawthon, and George Wilson; her great-grandchildren, Zayden Guinn, Jackson Nelson, Jacob Nelson, Tiffany Cawthon, Timothy Mullis, Sarah Matthews, Ivy Wilson, Emily Wilson, Joseph Wilson, Daniel Williams, Lily Thompson, and Noah Thompson; her brother, Merle McConnell; and many other loving extended family members.
