Lita Lopez Banker, 90, a Charlotte native, passed away on the evening of April 29, 2016 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Lita was the daughter of the late Joaquin and Metlow Lopez. Lita was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Linus, their daughter Glenad and Lita’s siblings Joe, Ben and Julia.
Lita is survived by her son Mark, his wife Roxe and two grandchildren, Carla and Luke, all of Charlotte. Lita was a lifelong member of Sugaw Creek Presbyterian Church.
The family would like to thank Dr. John Sensenbrenner, Elmcroft of Little Avenue and Hospice of Charlotte for their care of Lita during her last years.
A graveside service will be held at Sharon Memorial Park at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 3, 2016.
