Thanks so much, Tommy, for having the memorial gathering yesterday.  It helped to be with others who love Lisa as much as I do.  My heart breaks for you and Grant and all the rest of the family.  Please know that you will continue being in my prayers endlessly.  She was a very special lady and a good friend.  I'm already missing her so much.  God bless you and thanks for helping in my grieving.

Oh sweet beautiful LA. One amazing person !! Biggest heart with the biggest loving soul. Can not believe you are gone 💔 LA and I worked together in the salon for years at the beginning of our career until I moved away 25 years ago to start a new career . We always had fun no matter how busy we were. I mean big belly laughs! Grant was just a little thing. We would do things together outside of work. Made so many precious memories together. I will always be so grateful for her because she brought my husband to me. He was her client and she knew we would be good together. She was determined to get us together. She always wanted the best for everyone. She was pregnant with Raven the same time I was pregnant with my son. When I first came back home with Matthew I couldn’t wait to take him into her work to meet him. She always had a smile and hug for you no matter what she was dealing with. I prayed for her  happiness all the time because she so deserved the love that she shared. She LOVED her family so much !! Her heart has been broken since her baby girl left her. I can’t imagine how her sweet son Grant is handling this. You will be missed by so many LA. God has another amazing angel up there but I know she is loving on Raven. Will always have you in my heart, love you 💔🙏❤️

Lisaaaaaa wait I wasn’t ready for this information. My heart definitely breaks about you. I just moved out the shop last month due to a major emergency surgery and we  were definitely the door keepers but you had it on lock 🔐 working across the hall from one another since you came . I met you years ago in Sally’s we hit it off. I only worked physically in the shop from Sept through June  lol because I do a lot of pop ups but when I hit that door you use to say oh yeah baby it’s time for the money😂😂😂we both knew what that meant we often took breaks outside for your smoke
break and me needing to heat up because I

LA was a very sweet lady who welcomed me into Charlotte and into her hairdressing family.  Always had a smile and a hug.  She will be greatly missed.

LA Lisa Forman Amburgey left behind son Grant Baker and siblings\spouses Tammy Amburgey, Kevin Amburgey, Jeff Amburgey, Tommy and Kelly Amburgey, Sam and Andy Collie, and Chris and Kim Amburgey. She had well over 50 nieces and nephews several cousins just to many too name. She was proceeded in death by our mother and father Sherrie Lee Amburgey (Pieratt) 03-09-1940 to 11-20-2020 Harold Ray Amburgey 06-19-1936 to 07-31-2000 her beautiful daughter Raven Leigh Dingman 09-03-2000 to 02-13-2014. Lisa was raised in Middletown, Ohio after graduation she moved to North Carolina where she lived until her death. She began a career in cosmetology where she had a tremendous following and their generations to follow. She was known as LA to her clients (friends) and colleagues. It would be easy to say that she was their hairdresser stylist therapist and they would be her therapy. She would work hard to raise her little family most of her life on her own she will be terribly missed. We love you Lisa we are selfish because we weren’t done with you yet. God rest her soul.

LA Lisa Ann Forman (Amburgey) was born to Harold Amburgey (6-19-1936 to 7-31-2000 and Sherrie Lee Amburgey (Pieratt) 3–09-1940 to 11-20-2020). God rest their souls! Lisa was a loving sister\sister in law to Tammy, Kevin, Jeff, Tommy and Kelly, (Sam) Melissa and Andy Collie, and Chris and Kim Amburgey aunt \great aunt to over 50 nieces and nephews she was born and raised in Middletown, Ohio. Lisa had hundreds of clients\friends over a 40 year career she was not only a hair stylist she was a therapist where she shared her life experiences good or bad and knew theirs and was a generational stylists to their families. Lisa (LA) was loved and cherished from everyone who knew her. Love you Lisa miss you terribly.

We’re so sorry for your loss.  LA took care of our family for many years, cutting the hair of four generations.  She continued to care for our mother after she became very frail and had dementia.  LA saw what she did as her mission for caring for individuals, families, and her community; she was one of the people who formed the glue for the community.  LA was a deeply spiritual, insightful, and thoughtful person, and you knew she truly cared about you and your family, well beyond your need for a haircut.  Please know that LA was much-loved and appreciated, and that she will be sorely missed.  The Helton Family

To L.A.’s family:  On this Thanksgiving Day we are most thankful for the life of L.A..  We are the lucky ones for having her in our lives.  Over the past 32 plus years she has cut the hair of 4 generations of the Helton and Shepard families.  She can never be replaced.  L.A. loved our kids and grandkids as though they were her own.  She was a heck of a confidante behind that chair. I can’t imagine the Steele Creek secrets she took with her.  L.A. was a loving and loyal person.   My heart is sad right now  but I know she and Raven are happy and dancing.  We will hold her family in our hearts and prayers.  Please know that your Lisa was loved by many many people.
