Linda R. Vibbert

Linda (Kay) R. Vibbert, age 76, of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. Linda was born on September 20, 1947, to Foster Roscoe and Ruth (Wilson) Blume in Hamlet, North Carolina. Linda met her late husband, Lenzy Vibbert Sr, and they married on April 15, 1965. Linda and Lenzy Sr. went on to have two children, Marchelle and Lenzy Jr.

Linda adored her children and spent several years as a stay-at-home Mother until she joined the workforce on a full-time basis in 1979. In 1987, Linda found that entrepreneurial spirit and started her own health insurance agency with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Linda Vibbert Insurance. Helping clients find their ideal insurance for their health needs became her passion. She was one of the top-producing agents most years and successfully ran it until 2017. She was a loving grandmother to her two grandchildren, Jared and Riley. She loved to dance and read books.

Linda was predeceased by her father and stepmother, Foster and Shelby, and her mother, Ruth. She is survived by her daughter, Marchelle Vibbert; her son, Lenzy Vibbert Jr. and his husband, Sal; her grandchildren, Jared Griffin and his wife, Ashleigh, and her granddaughter, Riley Cofer. Great-grandson, Tate Griffin. Her brothers; Charles Roscoe, Larry Roscoe, Bo Turner, Timmy Roscoe, Lyle Blume and sister, Cathy Turner.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 11:00am with Funeral Service following immediately after at 12:00pm at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC. Committal Service will be held at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Rd, Mint Hill, NC immediately following the service.
