Linda Boone Coble, 76, of Mint Hill, NC passed away peacefully at Hospice House of Monroe, NC on October 14, 2023, during her favorite season of autumn. Linda, the second of four children, was born on February 19, 1947 to Tom and Jane Boone in Burlington, NC.
Linda graduated from Grimsley High School in 1965 and attended Eastern Carolina University. Linda married Ronald McKinley Coble on March 4, 1967 and remained married 56 years which is a tribute to their love and dedication to each other.
Linda held various career roles throughout her lifetime but her true passion was being a mother and grandmother (also known as Lulu). Time with her was laced with fun, hilarious mischief, laughter, and sincere love and warmth. Her grandson, Harry, said it best “Lulu was my first best friend in life”.
Linda was as much a devoted friend as she was a mother/grandmother/wife. She deeply valued and treasured relationships she cultivated over the course of her life; many of whom gallantly loved and supported her until her passing. She fervently believed friendships enriched the soul, kept her young and fulfilled her sense of fun.
One of Linda’s favorite hobbies was dressing up in hilarious costumes for no particular reason. She was also an avid reader and had a passion for words and their beauty which she learned from her father. She was a huge Motown/R&B music lover and a picture taking extraordinaire. She also loved to surprise others with sweet gifts. Her favorite places to be were at the beach in Hilton Head drinking a beer and being with her grandson Harry.
Her beautiful and unstoppable love of life, infectious smile and laugh, and contagious inner light and joy will be forever missed.
Linda is survived by her husband, Ron Coble; her son, William Coble (Wanda); her daughter, Brandi Ledermann (Jaret); and her grandson, Harrison Ledermann.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at McEwen Funeral Service - Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews - Mint Hill Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28227. A reception will follow the service.
