Born September 26, 1920 in San Diego, CA, he was a son of the late Sheppard and Annie Goldberg Shapiro. Mr. Shapiro was a veteran of World War II, where he served in the U.S. Marine Corps, attaining the rank of Captain. A graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, he was the owner of Sheppard Electric Supply Company, and an active member of Temple Israel.
Mr. Shapiro is survived by two sons, Sheppard Shapiro of Centennial, CO and Ronald Shapiro of Austin, TX; his brother, Melvin Shapiro of Scarsdale, NY; and two grandsons, Benjamin Shapiro and Alexander Shapiro, both of Denver, CO.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Shapiro was preceded in death by his wife, Anita Shapiro, and a brother, Walter Shapiro.
A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 5th at Temple Israel, 4901 Providence Road. Interment will follow in the Hebrew Cemetery.
