In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Billy Bolton and Kenny Bolton.
One of four children, Larry was born on July 31, 1950 in Charlotte to the late Grady Lee Bolton and Margaret Wilson Bolton. He was a 1968 graduate of West Mecklenburg High School and began his successful 30 year career with Duke Power that same year. In his free time, he enjoyed horseback riding and hunting, especially at the Mecklenburg Hunt Club.
Those left to honor Larry’s memory include his sons, Michael Bolton (Shannon), Timothy Bolton (Debbie), and Dustin Bolton (Maggie); grandchildren, Katlyn, Olivia, Sophia, Josh, Sammy, Drew, and Charley; and brother, Tommy Bolton.
The memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, July 14, 2023 at Depot Church, 101 N Main Street in Stanley.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Larry’s memory to the Blue Ridge Horseman’s Association, the Mecklenburg Hunt Club, or Depot Church.
