Mr. Kenneth Ray Helms Jr.

Kenneth Ray Helms Jr., “Kenny”, age 58 of Mt. Gilead, NC, formerly of Charlotte, NC, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at his home following a brief illness and complications from heart failure. Born on October 26, 1956 in Charlotte, NC, Kenny was the son of Mr. Kenneth Ray Helms Sr. and Patsy Ann Helms. He was the owner of Carolina Air & Lube. No one could deny the pride he took in his work or will ever forget his passion for fishing, go-carts, and golf. He deeply loved his family and was special to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his son, Chris; his son’s mother, Angela; his parents, Kenneth and Patsy; 2 brothers, Mike and Todd; 3 nieces and 1 nephew. The family will receive friends and celebrate Kenny’s life on Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at McEwen Funeral Service, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Humane Society or Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina.
