Kathleen Shaw

A native of Burke County, Mrs. Shaw was the second daughter of the late James Sylvester Kincaid and Eleanor Jaynes Kincaid of Morganton, NC. She was married to the late Charles William Shaw in 1942 and he later passed in 1955. She attended five years at Dorland Bell High School in Hot Springs, NC and later graduated from Morganton High School in 1935. Mrs. Shaw also was a graduate of Berea College School of Nursing in Berea Kentucky. Mrs. Shaw retired from Charlotte Memorial Hospital now known as Atrium Health on her 65th birthday.

Mrs. Shaw took pleasure in sewing, flower gardening and puzzles. She was a member of Loaves and Fishes.

Mrs. Shaw was preceded in death by siblings Dean Kincaid, Harry Kincaid, Marquerite K Powell, Jean Redman and Helen K. Lackey. She is survived by her sons Bernard (Paulette) Shaw and Jim Shaw; sister Angell Crisp; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Calvary United Methodist Church, 512 West Blvd., Charlotte, NC on Thursday, June 2, 2022 beginning at 12pm. Funeral Service will follow at 1pm. Interment will take place at Sharon Memorial Park.
