Charlotte - Katherine Wallace, 89, passed away on January 25, 2021. She was born on June 25, 1931 in Charleston, SC, a daughter of the late Thomas and Lois Albenesuis Godfrey; and beloved wife of her late husband, Robert Lee Wallace.
Katherine was a Registered Nurse for many years. A devoted Catholic, she was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church.
She is survived by her nieces, Kelly Wagner and Kim Schuhardt, both of Belleville, IL, Margret Holder of Little Washington, NC and her nephew, Donald (Larkin) Wallace of Smithfield, NC. She is also survived by her neighbors who looked after her wellbeing.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:15 am on Thursday, January 28 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 6828 Old Reid Rd., Charlotte, with Rev. Edward Sheridan and Rev. Frank O’Rourke, Concelebrants. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park Charlotte.
Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to St. Gabriel Church, Charlotte, NC in lieu of flowers.
