Mr. Giglio was born in Inwood, Manhattan, New York City, New York. He attended P.S. 52 Manhattan High School and graduated from George Washington High School in 1943. He then served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 – 1946 and in 1951, he graduated from Fordham University with a Bachelor of Science.
Julius married Margherita Del Monaco July 4, 1953. They had two children, Ralph and Caryn. Mr. Giglio had a 35-year career in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
Julius was pre-deceased by his father, Raffaele; his mother, Amalia; sister, Lena, and her husband, Elso Gregory; and two brothers, Mario, and his wife, Lucille, and John and his wife, Elvy. Mario, John and Julius all served in the military during World War II.
Mr. Giglio is survived by his son, Ralph, and his wife, Antonette, and their children, Gian and Franchesa; and his daughter, Caryn and her husband, Thomas, and their two sons, Nikolas and Anthony and Anthony’s wife Alison, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Julius also is survived by a great-granddaughter, Lilliana.
